The Actuarial Assistant will support the valuation team on production processes for annuity products, including model validation, assumption updates, and collaboration with actuarial teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze annuity valuation model results for attributions, sensitivities, and production results
- Coordinate and validate the impact of assumption updates on modeled results
- Support model development testing to ensure model updates are consistent with requirements
- Develop creative solutions to complex problems – identify ways to streamline and simplify the annuity modeling process to increase capacity for value-added activities
- Perform single cell audits to ensure projection models are consistent with product features
- Collaborate with other actuarial teams including pricing, valuation, and modeling to support alignment across use cases
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Actuarial Science
- 2+ Actuarial Exams required; Actuarial Experience preferred
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work with others in a team environment
