They are seeking an Associate Material Government Accountant to represent the team as a technical expert, support initiatives with external customers and auditors, and lead efforts to develop processes and tools within the team.
Responsibilities
- Perform data validation and review of material accounting data
- Analyze data and provide business insights to aid in decision making by business and finance leaders
- Engage with the business to assess internal and external factors, their impact on business performance and to achieve organizational objectives
- Material Part Tracking
- Ensure compliance and champion internal controls and procedures
- Perform critical accounting functions such a cost accounting, account reconciliations and journal preparations
Skills
- 1+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related role
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Required
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Experience with one or more of the following financial systems: Cognos, Interactive Reporting Environment (IRE), Enterprise Analysis System (EAS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Cost Schedule Performance Reporting (CSPR), Enterprise Planning and Analysis System (EPAS)
- Experience with CompassCONTRACT (CC)
- Experience in Government Accounting
- Experience in Microsoft Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
