Overview
The Business Development Representative is a REMOTE position and is responsible for generating leads for the Fit For Work sales team. The Business Development Representatives will conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone, and other professional communications. The Business Development Representative will often be the first interaction a prospective customer has to learn about Fit For Work and WorkSTEPS services and is vital to the success of our organization. This position requires tenacity, resilience, and a “hunter” mentality. The Business Development Representative must be able to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented culture.
The focus of the Business Development Representative is on new customers. The Business Development Representative will also participate in campaigns with existing Fit For Work and/or WorkSTEPS customers as needed by the organization. The goal for this position is to exceed goals and earn promotion to a Business Development Director role. To reach this goal the Business Development Representative will be coachable and have a strong drive to win.
Responsibilities
As Business Development Representative, you will lead outbound sales activities which will be vital to closing new customers.
Make a minimum of 250 cold calls per day to prospective clients
Daily outbound prospecting via email and LinkedIn
Utilize Zoom and other technologies to target companies and decision makers to personalize outreach
Understand and clearly articulate and present information about all FFW/WS services to prospective customers
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine outbound strategy
Document opportunities in Salesforce with accurate records of interactions
Meet monthly/weekly KPI’s for meetings booked and qualified opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
1-3+ years of outbound sales or could calling experience (SDR/BDR preferred)
CRM expertise, Salesforce preferred
Strong verbal communication and listening skills
