Claims Representative I, Property

As the Claims Representative I, Property, you will investigate, negotiate, and settle service claims while contributing to a client-centric culture through professional interactions and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Investigating, negotiating and settling service claims for the organization
• Communicating with clients, delivering clear messages and resolving concerns
• Liaising with stakeholders to ensure the efficient, timely, and quality settlement of claims
• Investigating and identifying opportunities for salvage and subrogation recoveries
• Sharing claims handling knowledge with business partners to support the organization
• Providing feedback to the leadership team on process efficiencies to enhance client experience
• Providing exceptional client service in accordance with claims service and quality standards

Skills

• You have one year of experience in insurance or two years of business experience in a related field
• You have completed post-secondary education in insurance, risk management or a related discipline
• You have or are working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation and Provincial Adjuster Licenses
• You have in-depth knowledge of client service principles
• You have basic knowledge of insurance and insurance claims, policy wordings, the vehicle repair process, provincial legislations and regulations
• English is required, French is an asset
