The Advertising Platforms Data Insights team at arenaflex is searching for a talented Machine Learning Data Scientist to join our Product and Client Analytics group. This team is passionate about fostering the next generation of analytical solutions that drive decisions across Product, Marketing, Finance, and Planning. As a key member of this dynamic group, you will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable business insights that shape the future of our advertising ecosystem.
What You'll Do
In this position, you will work as an essential contributor to a data-driven team dedicated to research, evaluation, development, implementation, and assessment of analytical strategies crucial to business success. Your work will involve turning the massive amounts of data generated by user searches, application content, and platform context into business insights that enhance the end-user experience while driving discovery and efficiency for application developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze complex datasets derived from user behavior, application content, and platform interactions to uncover patterns and trends that inform business strategy
- Machine Learning Model Development: Build and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems, including user segmentation, recommendation systems, and predictive analytics
- Business Intelligence: Transform analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives that influence product roadmaps and drive strategic decisions across the organization
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, marketing teams, and finance to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements
- Experimentation Design: Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of new features and improvements
- Dashboard & Reporting: Create and maintain analytical dashboards and reports that provide ongoing visibility into key metrics and performance indicators
- Data Pipeline Optimization: Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and accessibility for analytical purposes
- Quantitative Analysis: Apply advanced statistical methods including regression analysis, clustering, time-series analysis, and other predictive modeling techniques
What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data science, preferably in digital advertising, product analytics, or a similar data-intensive environment
- Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience working with large-scale datasets
- Cloud & Tool Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), data warehousing solutions (Snowflake), and visualization tools (Tableau or similar)
- Statistical Knowledge: Solid foundation in quantitative analysis methods including regression, classification, clustering, and time-series analysis
- Communication Skills: Ability to present complex analytical findings in clear, compelling ways to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaboration: Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and translating business requirements into analytical solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- Hands-on experience with clickstream data and digital advertising metrics
- Experience with A/B testing and experimental design at scale
- Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing principles
- Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks
- Experience in the mobile app or digital advertising industry
- Background in applied machine learning, recommendation systems, or natural language processing
