About This Role
As a Data Scientist specializing in Marketing Analytics at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our marketing initiatives by providing meaningful insights, industry-leading measurement methodologies, and access to the metrics, data, and tools required for informed decision-making and optimization. You will partner with colleagues across marketing, analytics, research, product, engineering, and finance through all progressive stages: identifying initial opportunities, refining the customer experience, analyzing the impact of our efforts, and highlighting areas for improvement.

What You'll Do
Your daily responsibilities will span a wide range of analytical and strategic activities designed to maximize marketing effectiveness and drive measurable business outcomes. Here's what to expect:
- Develop Advanced Measurement Frameworks: Create, implement, and refine core marketing measurement frameworks and models, including attribution, beat, Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), return on investment (ROI), test approaches, and customer segmentation strategies that provide deep insights into campaign performance.
- Drive Partner Strategy: Lead forward strategy for performance marketing partners by transforming raw data into meaningful and impactful analyses characterized by strong business acumen, methodological clarity, and comprehensive documentation that stakeholders can easily understand and act upon.
- Identify Growth Opportunities: Play a fundamental role in determining how we can best acquire and grow arenaflex customers by identifying and prioritizing opportunities for expansion through rigorous analysis of behavioral and contextual data patterns.
- Metric Development and Reporting: Identify key metrics that drive the performance of marketing channels and marketing products, make these accessible to partners through intuitive dashboards and comprehensive reports, and drive these metrics through statistical analyses of experiments and campaigns.
- Continuous Learning and Innovation: Continuously evaluate and refine your technical toolbox, sharing insights and learnings with the team to elevate collective capabilities and stay current with industry best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across departments to understand their analytical needs and deliver solutions that address complex business questions effectively.

What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Professional Experience: 3+ years of demonstrated experience as a data scientist, analyst, or in a quantitative role where you extracted meaning from large datasets with minimal engineering support.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL and either R or Python. Extra consideration will be given to candidates with experience with the Hadoop ecosystem or additional scripting languages such as Scala, PHP, Ruby, or similar.
- Analytical Skills: Solid, independent, analytical problem solver who enjoys thinking through and tackling complex and nuanced business challenges.
- Communication Abilities: Proven ability to communicate insights verbally, visually, and in writing with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance/digital marketing operations, channel attribution, churn and lifetime value models, analytical tools and infrastructure, and identifying profitable growth strategies.
- Familiarity with experimental design, data visualization, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Experience with Looker, Tableau, or other data visualization software.
