Job Summary:
The Cluster EHS Manager ensures that all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements are met across a defined group of countries (Cluster). The role holder will be the principle point of contact for all EHS related matters across the cluster but, will progressively increase operationalized EHS at every level of the business. Within the cluster the scope of the role includes the Outages and the GEV OFS offices. The role holder will operate in line with Cluster EHS Manager Standard Work. The role will ensure that EHS Standard Work and Programs are uniformly applied consistently across the cluster. The role will operate at all stages of the Outage cycle from planning through to execution. It is key that the role holder develops and maintains positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. The expectation is that the role holder facilitates a progressive EHS culture across the cluster, this means reduced risk, increased operational EHS ownership, embedded standards, application of LEAN, early visibility and visible reinforcement of EHS strengths and conversely, early visibility and impactful intervention where any EHS risk is present.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Outage Planning and Execution
- Ensure each outage has robust and informed pre outage EHS planning applied, ensure that the ORR and ORP are performed with the right level of operational EHS ownership and that the tools accurately reflecting the risk profile.
- Ensure that informed Outage EHS documentation such as EHS Plans, Lift Plans, SWAT and all Risk Assessments (Industrial Hygiene, Chemical plus Task RA) are in place for all outages within the Cluster, make sure that all assessments are ready within the planning phase to facilitate compliant Outage Kick Off
- Ensure that each Outage has the appropriate Induction and Empower You Call arrangements in place
- Establish an active monitoring schedule for each outage. Be sure that Outage Lead / Manager and FEHS are key stakeholders and ensure that they play an active role in agreeing the schedule and ensure that the program has sufficient operationalized EHS contributions from OM, Site Leads, Supervision and TFA.
- Support preparation at each site to create consistent and effective communication plans. Plans are to cover all GEV OFS Visuals and that an effective comms schedule is in place that brings timely information across the site team. All communications will ensure that crew language needs are respected and delivered.
- The role will require proactive customer interactions during planning, during outage execution and post Outage.
- Ensuring that GEV Subcontractor companies are appropriately aligned with all GEV deliverables such as Comply Works and all site EHS standards.
- The role will be critical in terms of ensuring the FEHS team effort is being applied to the appropriate tasks, Helping create an environment where FEHS LSW is applied consistently is a fundamental requirement of this role. The role holders will also act as mentors for FEHS Community.
- Ensure the RCA, Event Reporting and Event Management process is swiftly applied with the required Operational ownership and within the required timeframe. RCA outputs and CAPA need to be driven by evidence and data and must position the Region to learn and avoid repeat events.
- Use leading indicator data to pro-actively identify, make visible and influence any project that is creating and reporting unacceptable low levels of EHS Data / Silent Site
- Visibility / Escalations are expected for any task that is delayed or task owner is unable to progress to the needed standards or within the required timeframes. Similar escalations are expected to be used for any EHS related business risks.
- Identify and monitor all applicable GEV, and Country legal requirements associated to EHS. Apply influence to ensure that each site remains compliant with GEV, ISO 45001, FW 2.0, customer and country Legal requirements.
Regional Reporting
- Provide the cluster operational leadership, the EU EHS Director and the EU EHS operations manager with clear and timely visibility of all EHS program and performance status within the cluster.
- Review all Gensuite data for analysis and trending purposes. Use the data pro-actively to identify risk reduction needs and opportunities. Ensure Gensuite Data is positioning the Region to be AI ready
- Lead event standard work process and facilitate in Region Reviews at 80% completion stage
- Use Daily Management to track key EHS deliverables and to provide early escalation and requests for support
- Ensure that all Gensuite data entry across the Cluster is entered with high level of data integrity. Where data is inaccurate or unreliable, apply influence and lasting correction to those entering the data. Access, analyze and present EHS data to ensure that key programs and reviews are always using latest reliable proven data.
- Prepare the Cluster for the future when Artificial Intelligence will play a greater role in progressing the business. Data entry today is the data that AI will engage, so today’s data entry, in all systems, is of vital importance to the future.

For the role to be successful, it is required that the role holder:
- Embraces and displays consistent behaviors around the GEV Way.
- Directs majority of EHS effort towards the delivery EU EHS Strategy and LEAN Action Roadmap.
- Has the ability to create or adopt EHS programs, plan and communicate programs and, track program progress transparently and with validated data.
- Has extensive understanding of the OFS organization in particular a deep appreciation of the Planning and execution phases that brings a clear insight on the levels of value that any program will or will not bring to the Region. That clear insight will also be needed to ensure program roll out is seamless.
- Recognizes that the role is operating in a matrix organization, therefore the holder must bring an ability to influence key stakeholders using LEAN methodology and terminology
- Validation will be a key indicator of measurement; it is important to be in possession of validated information when reporting any EHS program progress or status. The same applied for reporting CAPA closure or levels of implementation. To achieve this the relationships and connectivity between the Cluster EHS manager, the FEHS and the Operational team needs to be strong and open relationships.
- One Team mindset is vital to be able to drive consistency and support the wider EU EHS team / other Clusters when required.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
- 5+ years managing and developing employees
- 5+ years of specialized/industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in curriculum related to safety, or the equivalent in training and experience with a minimum of three years in an EHS related position in construction or power service.
- English proficiency required
