As a remote customer support specialist, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's shaping the future of tax season support. **Responsibilities:** As a remote customer support specialist, you'll be responsible for: * Providing exceptional customer service via phone, email, and chat * Resolving complex customer issues in a timely and professional manner * Collaborating with internal teams to resolve customer complaints and concerns * Staying up-to-date on product knowledge and tax season developments * Meeting performance targets and exceeding customer satisfaction metrics * Participating in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge **Key Skills and Qualifications:** * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on empathy and customer-centricity * Intermediate level of knowledge in operating systems and software environments * Experience with software troubleshooting and problem-solving * Ability to modify communication style to meet customer needs and tone * Customer service skills with a focus on simplifying complex ideas and diffusing angry customers * Analytical skills with the ability to research, analyze, and determine an appropriate course of action * Organizational skills with a focus on multitasking, meeting productivity goals, and adhering to schedules * High school graduate with basic knowledge of tax laws and tax concepts (preferable) * Experience providing support in a call center environment and comfortable using chat (preferable) **Behavioral Competencies:** * Ability to adhere to work schedules and flexibility to work extra shifts when needed * Comfortable being on camera with customers and understanding the value of humanizing interactions * Focus on customers and their needs, developing and sustaining productive relationships * Positive/understanding attitude in the face of difficult or challenging customer interactions * Active listening skills with the ability to ask probing questions to arrive at answers quicker **Operating Hours and Schedule:** * Operating hours: 8am to midnight EST, Monday to Sunday * Required minimum hours: 30 hours per week * Peak period: April 9th to 15th, with extended hours and a $5 Turbo Bonus Boost per hour * Schedule yourself and work a minimum of 8 hours each day on April 13th, 14th, and 15th **Minimum Hours to be Worked Each Week:** * You must work a minimum of 30 hours each week on all schedules **Mandatory Requirements:** * Must reside in the USA * Must have passed background check and pass tech check in order to attend certification * Must be on camera during certification * Program will run from January 13th, 2025 to April 15th, 2025, with preference given to Service Providers who can commit and work all 14 weeks of the program * Service Provider must have the following hardware requirements: + Windows Computer (Mac and Chromebooks are not permitted) + Windows 10 or 11 + AMD or Intel Core Series (I3-I9) + At least 8gb of RAM + Webcam + Wired Mouse + USB Headset + Wired Internet Connection **Conflict of Interest:** * Cannot hold Gigs with Column Tax or any Intuit Vendors **Training Information:** * Duration: 20 hours * Price: $79.99 USD * Course details available upon application **Join Our Team:** This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career and make a real difference in people's lives.
