Foley Mansfield is a national law firm with more than 110 attorneys in offices from coast to coast. They are seeking a service-oriented Human Resources / Payroll Specialist to join their Minneapolis-based team, responsible for processing payroll, ensuring compliance with payroll laws, and assisting with new hire onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Processing bi-weekly payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees using the ADP Workforce Now platform
- Ensuring compliance with company policies as well as federal and state payroll laws and regulations
- Establish new state and local taxes as needed
- Working with managers to ensure employee work hours are submitted accurately
- Running reports and providing supporting documentation as requested by firm leadership, HR team members, and for external audits
- Reconciling and paying benefit invoices
- Assisting with new hire onboarding, including sending out pre-boarding communications, entering new hires into payroll system, and enrolling new hires in benefits
- Assisting with administrative tasks associated with employee terminations
Skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
- Some prior work experience in HR and payroll preferred but not required
- An educational degree or certificate in HR or a related field is a plus
