Job Description: Role Summary: The Insurance AR Supervisor works under the direct supervision of the Insurance AR Manager and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and staff of the Collections team. Duties include direct personnel management of the team, participating in all collections daily functions including policies and procedure development, running daily and weekly reports, performing team audits and ongoing training of the team. This position is responsible for monitoring A/R, overseeing day to day activities, maintaining assignment of payers and identifying patterns and global issues.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for reporting findings to management. Responsibilities: Review Insurance A/R monthly for identification of excess aging brackets. Review monthly benchmarks for staff and prepare reports for distribution and discussion. Monitor tasks for aged and high balance accounts. Review and approve all collection adjustments (write-offs, refunds, collection agency referral, probate) up to approved threshold from each collector daily. Receives, tracks and reviews medical record requests escalating priority requests for manager approval. Conduct training of new collectors and ongoing training with collection team. Perform daily collections duties including discussing accounts with patients, setting up payment arrangements, insurance refiles and appeals and other collector duties as needed for coverage. Assist in the development of team policy and procedure manuals as directed by manager. Monitors and reports volume of work as well as any outstanding issues to applicable manager. Assess workflow and develop strategy to complete all necessary work prioritizing tasks as necessary. Review & approve employee time for semi-monthly payroll Monitor overtime. Monitor occurrences for counseling related to the attendance policy. Manage employee activity such as interviews, job performance, quarterly performance reviews and disciplinary actions with appropriate approvals as required. Complete PeX plans quarterly for review with manager and staff. Manage employee relations issues appropriately as they arise and escalate to manager as necessary. Prepare end of month report highlighting pertinent issues for management review. Assist in various projects and other duties assigned by manager. Additional responsibilities as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer. Required or Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent healthcare related experience preferred. Basic understanding of oncology practice management preferred, in-depth understanding of insurance. Essential Competencies: Knowledge of insurance coverage guidelines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to apply good judgment. Ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of clinic office procedures, medical practice and medical terminology. Strong knowledge of Windows-based software applications. (E.g.: Word, Excel, Outlook…) Excellent Customer Service skills. Attendance is an essential job function. #LI-REMOTE
