Role Overview: What You'll Do
As a Customer Service Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be the voice of our organization, handling inbound phone calls from customers who rely on our expertise and support. This is a full-time position offering the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement after completing our comprehensive training program.
You'll work closely with Sales team members and collaborate with various departments to ensure customers receive prompt, accurate, and personalized service. Your ability to navigate multiple systems, think on your feet, and maintain composure under pressure will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle High-Volume Inbound Calls: Respond to a high volume of incoming phone calls from customers, addressing their questions, concerns, and requests with professionalism and empathy. Each interaction is an opportunity to build trust and demonstrate arenaflex's commitment to customer excellence.
- Build Customer Relationships: Develop rapport with customers by listening actively, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions. Your goal is to create positive experiences that keep customers coming back and recommend arenaflex to others.
- Navigate Multiple Systems: Utilize various computer programs and databases to access account information, identify products, process orders, and manage customer requests. You'll need to efficiently switch between applications while maintaining accuracy.
- Resolve Challenges: Tackle customer challenges head-on by leveraging all available resources for account selection, product identification, order placement, and order management. Problem-solving skills and resourcefulness are essential for success.
- Address Pricing and Invoicing: Handle pricing inquiries, resolve invoicing discrepancies, apply appropriate credits, and implement return procedures when necessary. Attention to detail is critical to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work alongside Sales team members daily in a team-based environment, supporting each other to deliver seamless customer experiences. Teamwork and communication are vital to our collective success.
- Maintain Workstation Requirements: Use a computer for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day) with periods of sitting, while maintaining focus and productivity. A secure, dedicated workspace at home is required for remote work days.
Compensation and Earnings Potential

- Starting Pay: $15.80 per hour
- Rapid Growth: Enjoy three automatic raises within your first 12 months, bringing your hourly rate to $17.00
- Additional Flexibility: After meeting work-from-home requirements, you can earn the opportunity to work remotely up to 5 days per week
- Shift Bidding: Become eligible to participate in a bidding process for alternate work shifts, providing you with more control over your schedule
Work Schedule and Environment

- Standard Shift: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday
- Weekends Off: Enjoy your Saturdays and Sundays free to pursue personal interests and spend time with family
- Hybrid Work Model: After successfully completing our 8-week training program, team members who meet work-from-home requirements will enjoy a hybrid arrangement – three days onsite at our La Porte City facility and two days working from the comfort of your home
- Flexible Choice: The two remote days are your choice and can change weekly based on your preference and schedule needs

Qualifications: What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: At least 1 year of customer service experience (retail, call center, hospitality, or related fields)
- Commute Ability: Ability to commute to our La Porte City, IA facility from your home on a regular basis
- Home Workspace: A secure, dedicated workspace at home that is free from distractions and suitable for professional work
- Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to operate and navigate multiple PC-based programs simultaneously
- Internet Requirements: Stable internet connection with documented speeds greater than 5 megabits per second upload, 15 megabits per second download, and ping less than 80 milliseconds
