About the Business Operations Team
Business Operations serves as the connective tissue of arenaflex's Technology division, with an unwavering focus on bringing together all facets of our organization. Every team – from engineering and product to design, operations, and support – collaborates seamlessly to push our business forward through strategic oversight, effective prioritization, and thoughtful leadership.
This team aggregates data from across the entire organization to ensure our leadership is equipped with the insights they need before making critical strategic and financial decisions. From forecasting and funding to project tracking and reporting, Business Operations has visibility and involvement in every aspect of our operations. About the Commitment Analysis Team
The Commitment Analysis team is at the heart of arenaflex's data-driven decision-making process. We partner with various teams throughout the organization to transform raw data into information, information into insights, and insights into strategic business decisions that steer the company's strategic direction. We're looking for a Lead Data Analyst who will be a fantastic addition to our dynamic team.

What You'll Do
As a Lead Data Analyst at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for guiding the team's reporting strategy and data initiatives. You'll coordinate with professionals to build tooling and communicate with our partners across the arenaflex ecosystem. You'll be instrumental in driving the use of analytics as a core value driver throughout our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Performance Reporting & Visualization: Serve as the primary partner for cross-functional stakeholders to understand platform performance. When a metric is ahead or behind expectations, dive deep to drive meaningful, actionable insights that help improve business performance or double down on success.
- Reporting and Tooling Strategy: Lead the team in creating meaningful and consistent metrics and reporting across all streaming platforms. Establish best practices for data visualization and dashboard development.
- BI Execution: Drive reporting for particularly large-scale data initiatives. Act as a subject matter expert for professionals on the team and collaborate with Data Engineering and Engineering teams in designing and building performant ETLs, staging tables, and beautiful, fast Looker and Tableau dashboards.
- Creation of a Single Source of Truth: Partner with our Governance team to bring together analysts and stakeholders from across the organization to define and normalize the metrics by which we assess product performance.
- ETL and Metric Design: Own metric design and production by defining business requirements, architecture and development, and long-term data scalability.
- Partnership and Communication: Work closely with business partners to identify and understand what they need to drive decisions, and with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, testing platforms, data visualization, and data architecture.
What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Economics, Math, or a related field.
- Proficiency in developing data analysis and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Chartio, or similar platforms.
- Four or more years of analytical experience, preferably specifically in analysis engineering.
- Strong command of SQL, with some experience in SparkSQL, Hive, or similar technologies.
- Extensive experience with OLAP databases like Snowflake or Redshift.
- Experience developing and maintaining advanced tables for reporting through ETLs.
- Project and resource management experience, outlining objectives and timelines, and coordinating work across multiple stakeholders.
- Python/R or other statistical programming languages.
- Exceptional drive and passion for delivering exceptional products.
- Strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal presentation abilities and experience presenting to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- A great sense of humor and collaborative spirit.
- Unique interests or areas of passion that influence the way you interact with others and/or approach your work.
- Experience in the entertainment, streaming, or media industry.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application to business problems.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
