Overview of the Role:We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Loan Processor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the loan application process from start to finish. This includes gathering and reviewing application information, ensuring all documentation is complete, and facilitating communication between applicants, underwriters, and other team members. Your role is critical in ensuring that loan applications are processed efficiently and accurately, contributing to a smooth and successful lending process.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Application Intake:
Serve as the primary point of contact for loan applicants.
Guide applicants through the loan application process, ensuring they understand the required documentation and procedures.
Collect and review all necessary documents from applicants, including income verification, credit reports, and identification.
Enter and update applicant information in the loan processing system accurately and promptly.
Documentation and Verification:
Verify the accuracy and completeness of application information and supporting documents.
Coordinate with applicants to resolve any discrepancies or obtain additional information as needed.
Ensure all required documents are included in the loan file and meet company and regulatory standards.
Communication and Coordination:
Maintain open lines of communication with applicants, underwriters, and other team members throughout the loan process.
Provide updates to applicants on the status of their loan application and answer any questions they may have.
Work closely with underwriters to ensure all necessary information is provided for loan approval.
Compliance and Quality Control:
Ensure all loan applications comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Conduct quality checks on loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission for approval.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all loan processing activities.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service to applicants, addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive experience throughout the loan process.
Assist in resolving any issues that may arise during the loan processing phase.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Loan Processor or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
Strong understanding of loan processing procedures, documentation requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in data entry and loan processing software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with applicants, underwriters, and team members.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
Experience in customer service or client-facing roles is a plus.
A degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
