About the role
The Manager Digital Platforms is responsible for the strategic direction, execution, end-to-end management, performance management, governance and continuous optimization of Amcor’s global digital communication channels, with primary responsibility for Amcor.com and associated web properties. This role serves as the bridge between business strategy, marketing, user experience, technology, and content operations to ensure the website and other digital platforms support business growth, brand leadership, customer & investor engagement, lead generation and talent acquisition.
The Manager, Digital Platforms, leads digital transformation initiatives that improve user experience, information architecture, accessibility, search visibility, content effectiveness, and operational efficiency across the organization’s global web presence
Key Job Accountabilities
Digital Strategy & Governance
Support development and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for Amcor.com and related digital properties
Establish website governance standards, publishing workflows, content ownership models, and quality assurance processes
Partner with business stakeholders to align digital initiatives with corporate, commercial, and brand objectives
Drive continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making and digital best practices
Manage website policies, standards, and compliance requirements
User Experience & Information Architecture
Lead information architecture planning and site structure optimization to improve content discoverability and user journeys
Prioritize user experience enhancements based on customer needs, analytics, and business goals
Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and usability assessments to identify opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with design and development teams to create intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences
SEO/GEO & Organic Growth
Own enterprise SEO strategy, including technical SEO, content optimization, metadata standards, internal linking, and site architecture
Identify opportunities to increase organic, AEO, and GEO visibility, search rankings, and qualified website traffic
Partner with content creators and subject matter experts to optimize content for search intent and audience needs
Monitor SEO performance and implement ongoing optimization initiatives
Support multilingual and regional SEO strategies for global markets
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Own project planning, management, prioritization, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Serve as the primary point of contact for website-related initiatives across marketing, communications, IT, HR, sustainability, investor relations, and business units
Manage relationships with external agencies, development partners, and technology vendors
Website Operations & Content Management
Oversee day-to-day management of Amcor.com and other digital platforms
Manage content publishing, maintenance, and lifecycle processes
Maintain website performance, reliability, and quality.
Analytics, Insights & Performance Optimization
Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks
Measure the impact of platform initiatives and analyze user behavior, traffic trends, conversion performance, and engagement metrics
Conduct testing and optimization programs to improve user experience and business outcomes
Translate analytics insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
Accessibility & Compliance
Lead accessibility initiatives to support WCAG compliance and inclusive digital experiences
Partner with legal, compliance, and IT teams to ensure adherence to privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
Digital Transformation & Innovation
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, tools, and platforms that improve digital effectiveness
Drive modernization efforts related to CMS or platform capabilities, personalization, search functionality, and content operations
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, AI-enabled workflows, and enhanced digital processes.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Digital, Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field
5–7 years of experience in digital platform, website, or digital marketing roles
Proven experience managing corporate websites or digital platforms end-to-end, including content, performance, and continuous improvement
Strong experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and coordinating web development activities
Solid understanding of SEO (technical and content) and web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics)
Proven ability to manage external agencies, developers, and technology vendors
Experience implementing governance models, content workflows, and digital best practices
Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and compliance requirements
Experience in user experience (UX), performance optimization, and data-driven improvement
Experience working in cross-functional, global or matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders
Strong interpersonal communications skills.
Strong ability to lead self and others through high levels of ambiguity
Budget management
Fluency in spoken and written English. Additional languages a plus.
Excellent project management skills in complex projects involving multiple senior stakeholders
Digitally (IT) savvy and deep understanding of communication tools and channels
Ability to build strong working relationships with a wide variety of cultures and functions / coach and develop co-workers in cross-functional teams
