Job Description:
• Answer patient calls professionally and warmly
• Return voicemails and follow up with patient inquiries
• Maintain accurate call logs and patient intake notes
• Assist with scheduling preparation and appointment coordination
• Request and organize medical records, imaging reports, and referral documents
• Support prior authorization tasks when applicable
• Escalate complex patient, insurance, or clinical concerns appropriately
• Help maintain simple workflows and administrative trackers
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of experience supporting a U.S.-based medical clinic
• Experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant, Medical Receptionist, Patient Care Coordinator, or similar role
• Excellent English communication skills, especially by phone
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Patient-centered, professional, and reliable
• Comfortable working in a growing or newly launching clinic environment
• Able to work 30 hours/week starting around 8:00 AM CT / 9:00 AM ET
• Stable internet, backup internet, and backup power
• Preferred: Neurology experience
• Preferred: Experience with Elation EMR
• Preferred: Experience with CoverMyMeds
• Preferred: Prior authorization experience
• Preferred: Medical records or imaging request experience
