Job Description
We are hiring a skilled MEP Drafter and Designer to join our remote team, specializing in preparing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings for USA-based residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AutoCAD, with Revit proficiency being a plus. A strong understanding of US MEP codes, building codes, and MEP coordination is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Develop MEP (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (as needed).
Prepare permit sets and construction documentation compliant with US codes, client standards and local building regulations.
Coordinate with architectural and structural teams for integrated design.
Review and incorporate redlines and markups from engineers.
Perform quality assurance (QA) checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Participate in remote coordination meetings with US clients and consultants.
Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to standard naming conventions.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
2–5 years of experience in MEP drafting/design for USA-based projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed MEP drawings; experience with Revit is a plus.
Strong knowledge of US MEP codes (NEC, IPC, IMC) and related building codes.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) for seamless collaboration in a remote setting.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with remote US-based teams or AEC outsourcing firms.
Familiarity with Bluebeam, BIM 360, or Navisworks for collaborative workflows.
Knowledge of LOD (Level of Development) standards and BIM documentation workflows.
