<div class="trix-content"> <div>Job Opportunity: Part-Time Accountant (CPA Preferred but Not Required)<br><br> </div><div>We’re looking for a detail-oriented part-time Accountant to join our team and help manage core accounting functions across multiple states and locations. The ideal candidate is CPA certified (preferred but not required), experienced in multi-state compliance, and comfortable working independently to ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.<br><br> </div><div>Responsibilities:<br><br> </div><ul> <li>Perform monthly account reconciliations and maintain accurate bookkeeping records</li> <li>Prepare and file Form 571-L for multiple states and ensure compliance with state tax laws</li> <li>Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes</li> <li>Assist with payroll administration and coordinate with payroll providers as needed</li> <li>Prepare and issue 1099s</li> <li>Support workers’ compensation audits and ensure proper documentation</li> <li>File quarterly sales tax returns and maintain compliance with state requirements</li> <li>Track and manage annual business license renewals and dues</li> <li>Assist with end-of-year tax audit preparation and liaise with external auditors</li> <li>Uphold GAAP compliance and recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy</li> </ul><div>Qualifications:<br><br> </div><ul> <li>CPA certification preferred (or equivalent experience in accounting and taxation)</li> <li>Proven experience with multi-state accounting, sales tax, and compliance</li> <li>Strong understanding of GAAP, payroll, and reconciliation best practices</li> <li>Proficiency in accounting and payroll software (e.g., Jobboss, ADP, etc) and Excel</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills</li> <li>Ability to work part-time and remotely with minimal supervision</li> </ul><div>Hours: Flexible, part-time schedule (approx. 10–20 hours per week, depending on workload).</div> </div>
