Position Overview: Pharmacy Specialist
We are seeking full-time Pharmacy Specialists to join our Veterinary Help team in Louisville, KY. This role is perfect for individuals who excel in customer-facing environments, possess strong communication skills, and have a genuine passion for helping others – both two-legged and four-legged!
As a Pharmacy Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for processing prescription endorsements, entering data with precision, and providing outstanding support to veterinary clinics and pet parents. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver medications safely and efficiently to pets who need them.
What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
This dynamic position offers variety and the chance to develop expertise in veterinary pharmacy operations. Here's what you can expect in your daily work:
- Veterinary Clinic Communications: Connect directly with veterinary practices to process prescription endorsements, resolve client inquiries, and clarify order requests. You'll be the crucial link between veterinary clinics and our pharmacy team.
- Problem Resolution: Research and troubleshoot issues to determine appropriate solutions for pet parents and veterinary partners. Follow up as needed to ensure complete resolution of any concerns or prescription challenges.
- Accurate Data Entry: Enter prescription information into our proprietary healthcare software systems with meticulous attention to detail. Accuracy is paramount in veterinary pharmacy.
- Order Processing: Maintain high-quality standards through precise data entry and order processing of veterinary pharmacy prescriptions, ensuring every order is filled correctly and efficiently.
- Customer Service Excellence: Work with understanding, active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness with all clients and partners. Every interaction is an opportunity to create a positive experience.

What You'll Need: Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years working in a customer service or healthcare-focused environment
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal abilities including strong written, verbal, and active listening skills
- Multitasking Ability: Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously (for example, chatting on the phone while navigating computer systems and taking notes)
- Attention to Detail: Strong ownership mentality, self-starter attitude, and exceptional attention to detail
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and standard office software
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Licensing: Must be able to obtain a Pharmacy Technician License from the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy where applicable
- Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust to change according to business needs
- Schedule Flexibility: Flexibility to shift schedule and stay as needed based on the specialty unit
