Airgas is a leading supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases, and they are seeking an Account Manager for their Mid South territory. The role focuses on strategic relationship management and value-based growth, requiring strong internal collaboration and territory planning.
Responsibilities
- Aggressively expand our footprint by converting competitive accounts
- You will showcase our total value proposition—focusing on our safety record and technical superiority—rather than competing on price alone
- You will be the lead advocate for your customers, understanding their unique KPIs and buying motives to ensure long-term retention and margin health
- While you lead the account strategy, you aren't alone
- You will lean on our dedicated Customer Service Representatives to handle order processing and logistics, and our Engineering and Field Service teams to provide technical support and on-site expertise
- Success in this remote, work-from-home position depends on your ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships across departments
- You must be a proactive communicator who can collaborate effectively with operations and management from a distance
- Generate detailed business plans and SWOT analyses, maintaining a 3-year strategic vision for the Gulf Coast
Skills
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.); technical disciplines are a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (car and some air) to dominate the Mid South market
- Minimum of 3 years B2B sales, technical/industrial selling & value based selling experience preferred
- Technical Aptitude: Experience with complex contracts and index/formula-based pricing is preferred
