As an Accountant, you will manage financial records, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with financial regulations, playing a critical role in supporting financial reporting and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding and approval routing
- Assist with accounts payable activities, including vendor communications and payment support
- Support vendor onboarding and compliance requirements (W-9 collection, banking verification, 1099 documentation, etc.)
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Help maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory tracking activities
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation of inventory records
- Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and transfers
- Support monthly close activities through preparation of schedules and supporting documentation
- Organize and maintain accounting records and documentation for audit readiness
- Support HR with ad hoc activities and reporting
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned
- Provide timely financial reporting and analysis during the month
- Assist with audit requests
- Support process improvement initiatives
- Prepare reports for management related to AP, inventory, and fixed assets
Skills
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
- 1–2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong data entry accuracy
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving mindset with a customer-service orientation
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Bill.com a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, filters, lookups preferred)
