About the position We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in advanced mathematics, mathematical diagram interpretation, graph-based reasoning, geometry-focused problem design, reference solution writing, and structured technical review. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured mathematics task development, diagram-based problem analysis, graph interpretation, original problem authoring, reference solution preparation, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their mathematical expertise to author, review, and annotate technical tasks involving mathematical diagrams, graphs, and geometric figures. Responsibilities • Review mathematical materials involving diagrams, graphs, geometric figures, visual problem setups, and symbolic representations • Interpret visual mathematical information accurately and connect it to valid reasoning, assumptions, and problem requirements • Identify unclear diagram elements, missing information, graph interpretation issues, and expected mathematical conclusions • Support structured review of diagram-grounded and graph-grounded mathematical tasks • Create original mathematics problems based on diagrams, graphs, geometric figures, and technical visual materials • Write clear reference solutions with step-by-step reasoning and rigorous mathematical justification • Develop tasks across areas such as real analysis, algebra, topology, probability, combinatorics, differential equations, geometry, or related fields • Ensure mathematical problems are precise, solvable, and aligned with source visuals • Annotate technical mathematics tasks according to structured review criteria • Apply quality checks to assess correctness, clarity, rigor, visual grounding, and solution completeness • Review solution paths, answer keys, diagrams, graphs, and problem statements for consistency and accuracy • Maintain high standards for technical writing, mathematical reasoning, and task quality Requirements • Advanced background in mathematics, applied mathematics, mathematical research, teaching, tutoring, contest coaching, or technical problem writing • Working fluency in at least two areas such as real analysis, algebra, topology, probability, combinatorics, differential equations, geometry, or related mathematical fields • Comfort reading and interpreting mathematical diagrams, graphs, geometric figures, and visual quantitative representations • Strong ability to write clear, structured mathematical explanations • High attention to detail and ability to evaluate reasoning step by step • Ability to follow structured instructions and produce accurate technical work • PhD in mathematics is helpful • Master's degree in mathematics with teaching, research, tutoring, or applied experience is highly relevant • Bachelor's degree in mathematics with substantial tutoring, contest coaching, applied math, or technical writing experience is also valuable • Equivalent practical experience in mathematical problem design, graph interpretation, diagram analysis, or rigorous quantitative reasoning may also be relevant Nice-to-haves • Experience writing original math problems, contest-style tasks, benchmark questions, or technical educational materials • Experience reviewing mathematical diagrams, graphs, geometric figures, function plots, proof diagrams, or advanced quantitative visuals • Familiarity with mathematical notation, LaTeX, solution writing, grading rubrics, or structured annotation workflows • Teaching, tutoring, contest coaching, curriculum design, assessment development, or applied mathematics experience • Strong comfort working through detailed, visual, reasoning-heavy tasks with sustained focus Benefits • Competitive hourly compensation • Flexible scheduling • Part-time commitment • Weekly payments
