[Remote] AI Healthcare - Lead Data Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mercy is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to transform how they use data for smarter decisions. This role combines business analysis with advanced analytics and emerging technologies to enable predictive and prescriptive decision-making across the organization. Responsibilities • Utilize Epic EHR data sources (Clarity, Caboodle, and related reporting environments) to build scalable analytics and AI-ready datasets that support clinical quality improvement, operational performance, and population health initiatives • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and align analytics solutions with business objectives • Perform advanced analytics, including statistical modeling, forecasting, and AI-driven insights • Leverage Databricks AI and Databricks Agent to automate workflows and enhance data-driven decision-making • Develop Power BI dashboards and visualizations that communicate complex insights clearly and effectively • Collaborate with engineering and data platform teams to ensure proper data access and governance • Identify opportunities to apply emerging technologies for improved business outcomes Skills • Education: Degree(s) in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, technology or related field experience • Experience: Five (5) years of relevant technical or business work experience or knowledge in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related technical field, with a proven ability to deliver insights that influence strategic decision-making • Experience analyzing Epic healthcare data models and reporting environments, with the ability to translate clinical and operational data into actionable insights • Strong experience in data analytics and business analysis • Hands-on expertise with Databricks, including Databricks Agent and AI/ML capabilities • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and advanced analytics • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and actionable insights • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience applying them to real-world problems will be required • Experience with cloud-based Azure data platform • Familiarity with enterprise data governance and security practices • Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business teams Benefits • Medical, dental, and vision coverage • Paid time off • Tuition support • Matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period Company Overview • Mercy is a U.S. health system that provides heart, children’s, and orthopedic care services.
