As an Analyst for State Filings, you will provide foundational support for the State Filing consulting team, focusing on drafting and submitting filings, managing objections, and conducting research.
Responsibilities
- Draft and submit Rate, Rule, and Form filings for all states and Property & Casualty lines of business. Prepare and complete the necessary transmittals
- Assist with tracking and managing state filing objections. Work with key stakeholders to address and respond to the objections in a timely manner
- Monitor the status of state filing projects. Collaborate with the team to ensure client expectations and deadlines are met
- Conduct targeted research using public and proprietary insurance resources to support client projects
- Track bureau changes, updates to industry regulations and market trends (as needed) to keep our teams informed and ahead of the curve
- Actively participate in internal strategy meetings and training sessions to build your insurance and consulting expertise
- Collect, organize, and synthesize data for use in client-facing reports and internal strategic projects
- Perform meticulous data entry and formatting for regulatory filings, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance
- Assist in managing internal databases to ensure information is current and accessible
- Support the creation of professional draft documents, presentations, and client deliverables
- Maintain organized project files and contribute to the continuous improvement of our internal templates and tools
Skills
- 3-5+ years of progressive rate, rule, and form filing experience in Property and Casualty insurance, preferably Commercial Lines
- Demonstrated experience with SERFF for the electronic filing of insurance rates, rules, and forms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and outlook
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks independently
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues
- Strong aptitude for collecting, organizing, and reviewing data for accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to perform thorough and accurate research utilizing a variety of resources such as online databases and industry-specific publications
- The ability to draft and format clear, concise, and professional documents, presentations, and reports
- Experience with converting pdf files to Word and Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail, meticulous focus on accuracy, particularly when performing data entry, quality checks, and managing project documentation
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, follow directions from senior team members, and contribute to a shared goal
- Adaptability & Eagerness to Learn with a proactive approach to learning about new processes, regulatory changes, and industry best practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain organized project files, and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree (or in progress) preferred
- Workers Compensation experience is a plus
