The Associate Data Scientist will build machine learning models and support their implementation and deployment through collaborations with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Build machine learning models through integration of multiple data sources
- Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams
- Work closely with subject matter experts to deliver practical, scientific data-driven solutions to meet business needs
- Debug runtime failures, stalled streams, retries, and state issues
- Be comfortable with AI agents, runtime tools, and orchestration workflows
- Develop machine learning and AI-based algorithms to support key initiatives for the Value & Access Insights team
Skills
- Proficiency in Python and SQL Programming Languages
- Experience with Databricks: SQL Warehouse, Delta Tables, Unity Catalog, MLflow
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Independent, self-motivated, organized, and able to multi-task in project environments
- Skilled in communication, facilitation, and collaboration
- Familiarity with DevOps and good software practices (i.e., version control, continuous integration, test-driven development)
- Experience with RAG, vector search, and evidence-based answers
- Understanding of Pharma Value & Access / Market Access
- Familiarity with payer coverage, reimbursement, access restrictions, and formulary concepts
- Ability to work with claims data, including Rx/Mx claims, monthly trends, and utilization metrics
- Familiarity with coverage, approvals, denials, prior authorization, step therapy, and access barriers
- Proficiency in using Tableau/Power BI for data visualization
- Team player, prepared to work in and embrace a team-based culture that relies on collaboration for effective decision-making
