Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is looking for a Senior Backend Commerce Engineer to design, build, and support scalable commerce solutions. The role involves delivering on notification events, product and order feed integrations, and enhancing payment systems while collaborating with various teams for improved service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend solutions for ecommerce workflows across SFCC and microservices
- Build and maintain event-driven notification pipelines for order, return, and account journeys
- Deliver and optimize product/catalog feed and order feed integrations
- Implement payment enhancements, including payment type support like Apple Pay, Google Pay
- Lead technical discovery and feasibility assessments for Emarsys, TurnTo, and ClientTale initiatives
- Define and govern API/event contracts, data mappings, and integration standards across systems
- Partner with product and platform teams to improve delivery predictability, release quality, and customer impact
- Support production reliability through monitoring, issue triage, and continuous improvement
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud backend development
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Java with Spring Boot for backend/microservice development
- Practical experience with API integrations, event-driven architecture, and business-rule implementation
- Experience delivering and operating services on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong understanding of release management, testing strategy, and production support practices
- Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and external integration partners
- Experience with customer engagement platforms such as Emarsys and TurnTo
- Experience integrating analytics/customer platforms such as ClientTale
