The Business Development Executive will assist in driving growth with new logos and existing clients, executing strategies, maintaining pipelines, and collaborating with various teams to enhance business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Work with VP Business Development Vertical Lead to execute on the Vertical GTM Strategy
- Maintain an active pipeline of new logo conversations in Stage 1 through proactive outreach
- Review inbound leads provided by product marketing to ensure match with key target audiences and hold preliminary conversations with potential leads to explore relationship and budget match for desired programs
- Monitor outbound marketing database to ensure profile match with key target audiences
- Ensure smooth handover of Stage 1 leads to VP Business Development, working with the relevant new business teams as needed
- Work closely with Quad, Periscope, Rise and QAS teams to evaluate Stage 1 pipelines and conversations by vertical
- Work closely with VP Business Development to ensure all stakeholders are informed of the progress in Stage 1 pipeline
- Ensure all business development activities are coordinated and executed in a timely manner (i.e. inbound inquiry to Quad should have a less than 24 hour response time from vertical business development lead)
- Collaborate on custom capabilities decks and presentation materials as needed
- Support content creation as needed (review thought leadership content, events content, vertical landing pages)
- Ideate against existing client growth with VP Business Development and serve as support liaison to other departments as Quad executes vertical enterprise selling
Skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or similar role
- Experience in customer relationship management (CRM) and other sales tools, including Salesforce, Zoom Info, Winmo
- Proficiency in the full Microsoft Suite
- Ability to listen for client pain points in early conversations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- 2-3 years working within the specific vertical and a general understanding of key vertical themes, challenges and opportunities
