Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurology, is looking to hire a data analyst for projects related to real-world evidence for the effectiveness, safety, and tolerability of diagnostic and treatments related to seizures. The analyst will be responsible for data integration and analysis, developing analytical tools, and providing technical support.
Responsibilities
- Coding multivariable regression in R
- Basic knowledge of statistics, including null hypothesis testing, regression, multivariable regression
- Microsoft office
- Appropriate handling of protected health information
- Virtual meetings (e.g., teams)
- Typing, interactions with others in the group and external to the group, using computer processing
Skills
- Familiarity with coding in R
- Familiarity with multivariable generalized linear models (e.g., logistic regression, survival models, log-normal regression, rank regression)
- Experience with propensity matching/inverse probability weighting
- Skills in data wrangling techniques
- Handling of private and protected health information
- Ability to discuss results and methods with other statistical and non-statistical people
- Creation of figures and tables
- Undergraduate degree in a biostatistical-related field (e.g., statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, biomathematics, data science, computational neuroscience)
- Basic knowledge of statistics, including null hypothesis testing, regression, multivariable regression
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to participate in virtual meetings and interact with others in the group and external to the group
- Additional interest or background in neurology, including functional and/or epileptic seizures
