Position Overview
We're searching for a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team and help drive the definition and execution of processes and tools that enable data science at arenaflex. Your work will directly impact arenaflex specialists and production teams daily, influencing the efficiency of the organization while improving the functionality of products we develop now and in the future.
As a Data Scientist in our New Product Introduction group, you will be responsible for architecting and designing data communications and dashboarding solutions that prevent errors from occurring as we manage change to drive improvements in our elite products. We are looking for a leader who is objective-oriented, results-driven, and deeply data-focused.
Data is profoundly embedded in the product engineering and manufacturing culture at arenaflex. We rely on data—massive amounts of it—to improve continuously, to enhance processes, to proactively identify issues, and to enable optimal decisions to be made at precisely the right time. If you thrive in environments where data tells the story and insights drive action, you belong at arenaflex.
What You'll Do
As a key member of our data science team, you will take ownership of critical initiatives that shape how arenaflex operates and innovates. Your responsibilities will include:
- Build robust, flexible, and automated software tools that enable complex analysis of real-time data, ensuring our teams have the insights they need when they need them.
- Answer complex questions related to change impact on manufacturing processes, providing deeper understanding of how modifications affect overall production efficiency.
- Cross-communicate information from various data storage locations, breaking down silos and creating unified views of our operations.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and IT teams to ensure data solutions meet the diverse needs of all stakeholders.
- Contribute to the automation and standardization of our data pipelines, reducing manual effort and improving consistency across the organization.
- Build visualizations that communicate complex findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analyze and determine optimal solutions for change integration with manufacturing, other arenaflex facilities, and suppliers (including EBOM, MBOM, and related systems).
- Provide thought leadership in analysis, modeling, and strategy to advance the team's capability and results. Mentor colleagues and collaborate both in-person and remotely to solve complex business problems.
- Develop and program manage execution of solutions and business processes that are optimized for speed, accuracy, cost efficiency, capacity, and flexibility.
- Foster decision support systems, tools, and models that are scalable and reproducible to aid in strategic planning and decision-making for arenaflex.
- Work with partners to take ambiguous issue statements, refine the scope of investigation, and use results to drive informed decisions.
- Summarize and clearly communicate data analysis assumptions and results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Build data pipelines to transform your ad-hoc data investigations into production dashboards that specialists can rely on for daily operations.
- Design and implement metrics, applications, and tools that will enable engineers by allowing them to self-serve their data insights.
- Work with engineers to drive adoption and effective utilization of your applications and tools throughout the organization.
- Write clean and tested code that can be maintained and extended by other programmers, ensuring long-term sustainability of our data solutions.
- Operate and support your production applications, taking end-to-end responsibility for the solutions you create.
- Stay current on relevant technologies and frameworks, and propose new approaches that the team could leverage for improved outcomes.
- Identify trends, discover better ways of looking at data, and establish innovative approaches to drive improvements in both existing and future products.
