Position Overview
We're looking for an experienced Data Systems Analyst & Technical Lead who will be responsible for building end-to-end solutions on cloud systems, managing supply chain tools, and leading backend development initiatives. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to drive our data operations forward. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, contributing to the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Data Systems Analyst & Technical Lead at arenaflex, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end solutions on cloud platforms including Azure, GCP, and AWS
- Build and optimize data pipelines and backend systems using Java or Spring Boot frameworks
- Implement and manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes or comparable systems
- Develop responsive and intuitive frontend interfaces using React or Angular, adhering to creative design specifications
- Design and maintain relational databases using MySQL or PostgreSQL, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, working with user stories and acceptance criteria
- Lead technical initiatives and mentor team members on best practices and emerging technologies
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment
- Develop and operationalize solutions for near real-time, high-volume streaming scenarios
- Write, review, and debug code at the implementation level, troubleshooting complex issues
- Research and explore new technologies, modern tech stacks, and innovative solutions
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance meet business requirements
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent formal education or work experience)
- Minimum 3 years of qualifying work experience in Information Technology or an engineering environment (advanced degrees may offset experience requirements)
- Strong experience building end-to-end solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS
- Proficiency with supply management tools including Git and Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Backend development experience using Java or Spring Boot
- Experience with Kubernetes or comparable systems for containerized deployments
- Frontend development skills using React or Angular with adherence to design specifications
- Solid understanding of database concepts and experience writing SQL for relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams in Agile environments, including user stories and acceptance criteria
- Willingness to research and explore new technologies, modern tech stacks, and find solutions through deeper investigation and troubleshooting
- Experience as a technical lead for a team or project
- Understanding of and demonstrated experience in building CI/CD pipelines
- Development and operationalization skills for near real-time, high-volume streaming situations
- Hands-on development skills with the ability to work at the code level and debug challenging problems
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following would be advantageous:
- Experience with Energy Platform technologies (Power BI, Power Apps)
- Advanced certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation technology sectors
- Knowledge of microservices architecture patterns
