Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Influent Energy is a company that develops and installs distributed solar energy and storage projects across the country. They are seeking an Electrical Engineer who will play an active role in the development and completion of solar electrical systems and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, maintain their own work schedule, and at the same time be able to take direction from the Director of Engineering
- Maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Implementing best practice engineering methods
- Providing technical guidance to the solar design team
- Project management of electrical engineering activities
- Prepare solar designs for projects assigned to you
- Review solar designs prepared by internal or external solar design teams
- Perform and prepare basic to complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysis
- Provide Engineering stamps for construction plansets
- Manage specification and equipment submittals
- Inspect and approve final installation for compliance with engineering documentation
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized, accredited program
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized and self-motivated
- Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office or Google Suite programs, and PV modeling tools
- Extensive knowledge of the NEC
- Ability to be licensed in multiple states
- NABCEP certification
- Solar design experience
