They are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead client engagements, providing strategic leadership and operational expertise to healthcare organizations, particularly Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). This role involves mentoring teams, driving performance improvement, and fostering partnerships within the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead interim COO engagements, serving as the acting COO for client organizations
- Provide hands-on operational leadership, partner with executive teams and stakeholders, and drive execution on organizational priorities to ensure continuity, stability, and progress
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to client organizations on operational strategy, best practice, and methodology
- Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction
- Experience with core FQHC operational and administrative functions including: front office & registration, back-office and nursing, referrals, health information technology, and information systems & outpatient software systems. Preferred candidates will have experience with Epic, athenaOne, eClinicalWorks, and/or NextGen
- Experience working with C-suite & other senior healthcare leaders to achieve strategic goals
- As a senior consultant you will fulfill the following responsibilities for a client in an interim or in a project-based capacity:
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and industry best practices
- Drive initiatives to enhance quality of care, patient safety, and clinical outcomes through process improvement and evidence-based practices
- Foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation

Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare management, preferably within an FQHC or similar healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, finance, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic operational initiatives, and performance improvement projects
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Proven track record of driving results, managing change, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Proven problem-solving skills, independent decision-making, and ability to navigate ambiguity

- Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
