They are seeking a full-time remote Instructional Designer to create learning experiences that support their mission and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop learning experiences, including curricula, training modules, and digital learning assets
- Conducting needs analyses
- Collaborating with subject matter experts
- Creating instructional materials and assessments
- Optimizing content for delivery via learning management systems
- Evaluating training effectiveness
- Updating materials based on feedback and performance data
- Ensuring content is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with adult learning principles
- Working closely with program leaders and field staff to translate real-world experiences into practical, engaging learning solutions
Skills
- Candidates should possess skills in Needs Analysis and Learning Management, including evaluating training requirements and managing content within learning platforms
- Candidates should possess skills in Instructional Design and Curriculum Development, including creating structured learning paths, instructional materials, and assessments
- Candidates should possess skills in Training & Development, including implementing training programs, supporting facilitators, and improving learner performance
- Strong written and visual communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment are required
- Experience applying adult learning theory, trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices, and inclusive design principles is beneficial
- Experience in community-based services, social impact organizations, or working with justice-impacted or vulnerable populations is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred
