Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sullivan is a full-service brand development agency, and they are seeking an Integrated Production Designer. The role involves adapting creative assets into various formats while ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and IAB standards, as well as improving production workflows to enhance efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Adapt approved campaign visuals into dozens of different sizes and formats for social media, digital banners, print, and out-of-home — maintaining the art director's original vision and design system
- Build dynamic, spec-compliant HTML5 banner ads and rich media assets that meet IAB standards and platform-specific specs (Google Ads / DV360, Meta, LinkedIn), with attention to file weight, animation duration, and click-tag requirements
- Prepare press-ready files with correct color profiles, bleeds, crop marks, and finish specifications. Handle basic image retouching and coordinate hand-offs to printers and vendors
- Create, work within, and help improve the templates, master files, and libraries the team uses, so campaign assets can be produced at scale without hand-crafting from scratch each time
- Adhere strictly to brand guidelines (typography, color palettes, logo usage, spacing) across every client deliverable and every channel
- Organize, name, package, and version design files for hand-off to printers, developers, project managers, and clients
- Use AI-assisted production tools (Firefly generative fill, batch actions, emerging platforms) where they help, and share what you learn with the rest of the team
- Work closely with art directors, designers, developers, project managers, and account teams to translate approved creative into final production files
- Notice the parts of production that are pure repetition, and bring ideas for how to compress them — helping buy time for the moments where production choices actually matter
- Proof all work for typography errors, color accuracy, spec compliance, and brand alignment before delivery — catching mistakes before clients or printers do
- Stay curious about new design production tools and be willing to try them out when they might help the team move faster
Skills
- Portfolio required — must show technical execution quality and breadth of deliverables (print + digital + HTML5)
- 3+ years of production design or production artist experience
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, or equivalent industry experience
- Proficient experience with file prep and design software for both print and digital
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) — plus Adobe Animate or Google Web Designer for HTML5 output
- Figma (Slides, Design, and Sites)
- HTML5 display ad production — file weight, animation timing, IAB standards
- Print production and prepress — color separations, ICC profiles, bleeds, trim marks, finish specs, and printer hand-off
- Social platform ad specs (Meta / Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube)
- Workflow management tools (Asana, Monday, Workamajig)
- Baseline WCAG accessibility for digital advertising
- Detail-oriented QA — catching mistakes before clients or printers do
- Working with deadlines and juggling multiple concurrent projects
- The operations side of design — finding satisfaction in a workflow that runs smoothly, not just in a beautiful final file
- Noticing patterns in repeat work and finding ways to make them faster the second time around — whether that's a template, a saved action, or just cleaner file naming
- Motion graphics and video editing (After Effects, Premiere)
- Vector illustration
- Comfort with AI-generative imagery tools (Adobe Firefly, Google Gemini, Midjourney)
- Advanced WCAG accessibility knowledge (AA / AAA)
