World Renew is dedicated to humanitarian assistance and disaster management, and they are seeking an International Disaster Response Program Manager. This role provides leadership and coordination for multi-country humanitarian projects, ensuring effective implementation and collaboration among various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and coordination for assigned humanitarian and disaster risk reduction programs across multiple countries
- Support country offices and partners in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and adaptation of projects to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and impact
- Ensure interventions align with project objectives, humanitarian standards, organizational strategies, and donor requirements
- Facilitate coordination among country teams, partners, and other stakeholders to promote effective implementation and collaboration
- Support the identification and adaptation of programming to address emerging humanitarian needs and changing contexts
- Support the assessment, design, and operationalization of programming in new humanitarian or disaster contexts as funding opportunities, emergency events, or consortium priorities emerge
- Monitor implementation progress against approved plans, budgets, indicators, and timelines
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and financial performance in collaboration with finance and country teams to ensure effective stewardship of donor resources
- Coordinate the development and monitoring of annual work plans, implementation schedules, and risk mitigation plans
- Promote adaptive management approaches that support timely and informed decision-making
- Ensure project monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems are effectively implemented in collaboration with country teams, partners, and World Renew technical staff
- Work closely with the IDR MEAL Coordinator and country teams to ensure timely collection, analysis, and use of program data
- Ensure donor reporting requirements are met and that reporting systems provide accurate, timely, and useful information
- Support partners in establishing and strengthening monitoring and reporting systems
- Ensure accountability to affected populations is integrated across all interventions, including community feedback and complaints mechanisms
- Facilitate cross-country learning and documentation of promising practices, innovations, lessons learned, and program improvements
- Coordinate the preparation of briefing notes, presentations, reports, and decision-support documents for leadership and donors
- Support documentation of case studies, success stories, photographs, and other communications materials in accordance with ethical storytelling standards and informed consent requirements
- Serve as the primary grant management focal point for assigned projects
- Monitor compliance with donor agreements, reporting requirements, contractual obligations, and organizational policies
- Coordinate narrative reporting processes with country teams, partners, and technical advisors
- Coordinate financial and programmatic reviews to identify implementation challenges, monitor budget performance, and support timely corrective actions
- Track project deliverables, milestones, budgets, and reporting deadlines
- Support project modifications, amendments, no-cost extensions, and donor communications as required
- Identify and escalate compliance concerns, implementation delays, safeguarding risks, fraud risks, or other operational challenges
- Support audit readiness and ensure project documentation is maintained in accordance with donor and organizational requirements
- Serve as a primary support resource for country offices and partners participating in assigned projects
- Provide technical and operational guidance related to humanitarian programming, disaster risk reduction, project management, accountability, safeguarding, compliance, procurement, financial management, and reporting
- Identify partner and staff capacity gaps and coordinate targeted capacity strengthening initiatives
- Facilitate mentoring, coaching, and training opportunities for partners and staff
- Promote the use of organizational tools, standards, and best practices across project implementation
- Build and maintain strong, respectful, and accountable relationships with country offices, local partners, consortium members, and other stakeholders
- Participate in project steering committees, consortium coordination mechanisms, and technical working groups as assigned
- Represent World Renew in relevant internal and external meetings, forums, and coordination platforms
- Support country offices and partners in engaging with humanitarian coordination mechanisms, clusters, government entities, and sector working groups
- Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships, leverage resources, and enhance program quality and impact

- Demonstrated commitment to humanitarian principles, safeguarding, ethical programming, and accountability to affected populations
- Bachelor's degree in International Development, Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Management, Public Administration, International Relations, Project Management, or a related field
- Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience managing complex humanitarian, disaster response, resilience, or international development programs
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-country or multi-partner projects funded by institutional donors
- Experience coordinating implementation across country offices, partners, consortium members, and donors
- Experience managing budgets, work plans, performance indicators, donor reporting requirements, and project deliverables
- Experience working in fragile, conflict-affected, or disaster-prone environments
- Experience supporting capacity strengthening and localization initiatives
- Master's degree in a related field
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certification
- Experience managing humanitarian consortiums
- Experience working with faith-based organizations
- Experience supporting emergency response activations
- French and/or Arabic language skills are an asset
