Monson Group, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Executive responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships while driving profitable revenue growth. The role focuses on new customer acquisition, account development, and delivering customized transportation solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and develop new customer relationships through cold calling, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach
- Research target accounts and market opportunities to generate and qualify new business leads
- Schedule and conduct customer meetings both virtually and in person
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and lead generation activities
- Study market trends, seasonality, and competitive conditions to identify growth opportunities
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline capable of supporting long-term growth
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, shippers, consignees, and key stakeholders
- Conduct account reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to identify opportunities for additional collaboration and growth
- Present company’s capabilities and transportation solutions to prospective customers
- Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for customer success
- Support customer adoption and utilization of company’s technology and visibility platforms
- Generate transportation quotes and bids for potential business opportunities
- Negotiate pricing while maintaining profitability standards
- Maintain and exceed revenue, gross margin, and pipeline objectives
- Provide accurate forecasting and opportunity management
- Utilize customer analytics and internal resources to make informed selling decisions
- Maintain accurate records of customer activities, opportunities, and communications within HubSpot CRM
- Leverage ZoomInfo and other sales intelligence platforms to identify key decision-makers and execute strategic account plans
- Utilize reporting and analytics tools to support account growth and sales strategy
- Ensure timely and complete documentation of customer interactions and pipeline activity
- Partner closely with Operations, Carrier Sales, and Client Services teams to ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction
- Communicate pipeline opportunities and customer requirements effectively across departments
- Resolve customer issues by identifying root causes, seeking input, and implementing effective solutions
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and account reviews
Skills
- Minimum of three years of outside sales, business development, or account management experience
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms
- Ability to travel for customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
- Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or expedited freight
- Familiarity with HubSpot, ZoomInfo, or other CRM and sales intelligence platforms
- Existing customer relationships or an established professional network
- Experience selling expedited, truckload, LTL, final mile, white glove, or specialized transportation services
