The Manufacturing Engineer - Transducer will assist with all aspects of transducer Production and Development projects, focusing on engineering support to achieve volume, cost, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Being responsible for the initial design support, assembly and testing of prototype transducers for custom inspection tools, then successfully transferring them into production
- Applying engineering skills and knowledge to develop new and improved production procedures, practices, and documentation
- Making safety a top priority at all times
- Performing other duties as assigned
Skills
- Have a BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or other Engineering discipline
- Have proven knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures and equipment to the design and production of NDT UT transducers
- Have knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles, involved in production of precision technical plans, schematics, drawings and models
- Have the ability to take the initiative and be hands-on
- Have the capability of training and auditing the work of others
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have intermediate level computer skills in MS Office products
- Have the ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, management, and customers
- Have willingness to perform a variety of tasks and work under strict deadlines
- Have a firm commitment to our Guiding Principles
- CAD software experience such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks being a plus
