The Master Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity of product data throughout its lifecycle, collaborating with various partners to maintain accurate and relevant information.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance and training for attribute population and governance in PIM MDM
- Add attribute values according to MDM/PMMS standards (i.e. Color, Size, Dim, Brand, etc.)
- Collaborate with 3rd party catalog providers and suppliers with the goal of complete, accurate, relevant product data in MDM
- Analyze product data supplied by vendors and facilitate issue resolution
- Supervise ongoing data quality and maintenance of product attributes to ensure common understanding and usage across the organization
- Work with vendors to assign unique UPCs to products
- Create non-merchandise styles and assign UPCs
- Maintain UPC and style governance standards
- Analyze and execute all style modifications
- Partner with merchant to understand the intended business outcome to make the proper change
- Communicate changes to all parties impacted by the change
- Execute organizational hierarchy changes
- Manage buyer number assignments
- Own UPC issue resolution (i.e. UPC Problem Log, DC UPC issues, etc.)
- Submit TEAM Communications to the stores with UPC issues
- Recognize issues within the process or systems and seek improvements to benefit the team or business organization
- Provide expertise to IT partners to ensure delivery of relevant and optimal system changes
- Miscellaneous daily, weekly, or monthly priorities that arise related to styles or attribution maintenance
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree plus 1 - 3 years of retail experience
- PIM knowledge
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience
