What You Will Do
As a Remote Member Services Representative on our Payments and Digital Strategy team, you will be responsible for daily operations related to checking processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers at arenaflex Credit Union. Your contributions will be essential to maintaining the seamless flow of financial transactions and ensuring exceptional service to our members.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Data Entry and Balancing: Complete statistical access and balancing functions with precision and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial records and transactions.
- Item Processing Coordination: Coordinate return items with members, door vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other financial institutions in a timely and professional manner.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Assist different departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing to maintain operational excellence.
- Member Case Management: Work member cases and activities assigned, ensuring each member receives personalized attention and effective resolution to their concerns.
- Regulatory Compliance: Follow and maintain guidelines and approaches to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws, protecting both the organization and our members.
- Loan and Deposit Processing: Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Digital Banking Support: Review, analyze, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products, ensuring security and usability for our members.
- Account Management: Log, analyze, and make necessary GL, account changes and/or returns, maintaining the integrity of our financial systems.
- Payment Processing: Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, managing these critical functions with the utmost care and precision.
- Daily Operations: Complete daily balancing and department closing procedures, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately before the end of each business day.
- Wire Transfer Operations: Obtain information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund switch requests, navigating complex transfer requirements.
- Wire Transfer Verification: Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer data, ensuring all transactions meet regulatory standards and member expectations.
- Vendor Communication: Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, building strong relationships to facilitate smooth transaction processing.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understand and be acquainted with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, staying current with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Check Returns and Collections: Deposit check returns, report member items on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and work with the Federal Reserve to verify and release fund transfers.
- Workflow Processing: Complete daily processing of workflows related to overdue returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Data Security and Confidentiality: The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all accounts and associated data that are part of their work, ensuring that their work complies with all relevant laws and guidelines including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
What You Will Need for Success
Minimum Qualifications – Education and Prior Job Experience:
- High school degree or GED equivalent
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications – Education and Prior Job Experience:
- Previous customer or member service experience in a financial services environment
- Prior banking or Credit Union experience, particularly in payments and transfers
- Familiarity with Episys/Symitar systems and wire processing procedures
- Understanding of NACHA regulations and Federal Banking laws
- Experience with fraud resolution and compliance procedures

Compensation and Benefits Package
