Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Bale Breaker Brewing Company is a craft brewery located in Washington's Yakima Valley, known for growing its own hops. They are seeking a National & Key Account Manager to enhance their presence in major retail chains across the Pacific Northwest, focusing on building relationships with retail buyers and executing strategic business plans.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive national and regional off-premise strategy aligned with Bale Breaker’s long-term goals and growth trajectory
- Own and develop annual business plans for assigned national and regional chain accounts, identifying the resources needed to execute them
- Lead all aspects of chain account management including buyer meetings, formal presentations, new item submissions, add-delete paperwork, pricing and promotion strategy, and sales projections
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail chain buyers and their division and district management teams
- Set distribution objectives within assigned accounts and develop fact-based selling stories to close against them
- Partner with our marketing team to build chain-specific programs that are on-brand, on-budget, and built to last
- Coordinate with Bale Breaker's sales team and distributor network to ensure timely, clean, consistent execution of authorizations and programs
- Plan, execute, and evaluate in-store promotions within chain accounts
- Prepare and present quarterly business reviews to Bale Breaker leadership
- Conduct retail staff trainings as needed
- Analyze internal and external data (IRI, Nielsen, VIP, etc.) to build presentations that support our business goals and drive the ‘ Why Bale Breaker’ story
- Identify and act on category and channel opportunities as they emerge
Skills
- 5+ years of experience selling alcoholic beverages to national and/or regional off-premise chain accounts
- Deep understanding of the off-premise national chain landscape, beer trends, pricing strategy, and distributor networks
- Strong analytical skills and comfort building fact-based, executive-level presentations
- Experience working with IRI/Circana/Nielsen data and retailer gateways
- Ability to work autonomously while staying aligned with team priorities, financial guidelines, and company values
- A resourceful, solutions-oriented mindset — you figure things out and follow through
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Must be able to travel approximately 25-30% of the time – mix of time in market, distributor ride-withs, and time in Yakima (if remote)
- Must meet company driving standards
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
- Yakima or Washington State-based candidates preferred, open to candidates elsewhere in the Pacific NW
- Established relationships with buyers across Grocery, C-Store, Drug, Mass, and Club channels is a strong plus
