As an Outside Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for growing your territory by developing new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients, specifically in the industrial sector.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales and profit goals by developing and retaining existing customers and by discovering new opportunities
- Grow your network of engineers and contractors in your assigned territory
- Selling engineered heating/hot water systems within the industrial sector
- Achieve sales and profit goals by developing and retaining existing customers and by opening new businesses
- Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services
- Organize and conduct product training sessions for customers
- Complete reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads, and other related matters
Skills
- Experience with boiler, steam, water heating, and thermal transfer systems
- Proven ability to work with engineers and contractors to identify solutions for project requirements
- Hands-on involvement installing/commissioning steam boilers and water heaters a plus
- Knowledge of steam-related valves, traps, pumps, controls, instrumentation
- Knowledge of air heating and MUA systems a plus
- Computer proficiency including MS office, SAP/ERP/P-21 a plus!
- Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement
