Northern Impact is a growing mid-size architecture studio seeking highly motivated Project Managers to work on healthcare and institutional projects. The role involves leading project teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring project goals are met while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Support Management and lead the project administratively from client proposal to project closeout
- Ability, skills, and motivation to act as independent project manager
- Assist team in business development efforts to win new projects as required
- Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and building a strong relationship based on trust, value, and expertise
- Identifies and pursues new business opportunities with existing and potential clients
- Provide leadership and management necessary for all facets of projects and responsible for achieving overall project goals
- Lead communication between client and our firm, ensuring timely resolution of client concerns and management of business issues including contracts and additional services
- Lead and coordinate communication efforts with client, consultants and within project team
- Manage professional service agreements and amendments with clients and consultants
- Establish and ensures adherence to project budget and contracted fee
- Prepare, manage, and oversee project schedule to ensure that design decisions and documentation are complete at critical milestones and to meet contractual obligations
- Work with the Design Team to execute the vision and spirit of the design for assigned projects and ensuring that constructability methods and technologies are explored and implemented
- Manage the project manual as it relates to contractual obligations (i.e. bid instructions, bid forms, schedules of values)
- Manage and review pay applications with contractors
- Manage billing review for clients and consultants
- Manages collections for assigned projects
- Responsible for quality assurance
- Motivate and mentor junior staff ensuring their professional development and leading by example
- Identify ways to innovate and improve the accuracy and efficiency of our processes
Skills
- Healthcare management experience is required
- Ability to manage and appraise own working practices
- Strong leadership, written and verbal communication, relationship management skills, organizational skills, and ability to work under own initiative
- Ability to lead project groups
- An articulate presenter
- OSHPD/HCAI experience is preferred, but not required
