Dice is a global leader in children's publishing, education, and media, seeking a QA Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of digital products. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate new features, identify defects, and contribute to high-quality releases across web and mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Execute manual testing for new features, enhancements, and product releases
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and testing documentation
- Identify, document, and track software defects while working closely with engineering teams to resolve issues
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and user acceptance testing across multiple platforms
- Validate web, mobile, and API functionality to ensure products meet business and technical requirements
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and UX Designers throughout the software development lifecycle
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness activities within an Agile environment
- Assist with automated testing initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts
- Verify bug fixes and ensure production releases meet quality standards before deployment
- Help improve QA processes, testing strategies, and best practices across the engineering organization
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or QA Testing
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress
- Experience performing manual testing across web and mobile applications
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile development environments
- Experience writing detailed test plans, test cases, and bug reports
- Experience using defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Strong knowledge of functional, regression, smoke, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Experience working closely with Product Managers, Developers, and UX teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience testing responsive web applications and mobile applications
- Familiarity with API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Basic knowledge of SQL for backend data validation
- Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Passion for delivering high-quality user experiences and continuous improvement
- Experience in education technology, publishing, or SaaS environments is a plus
