Position Overview
This 12‑week, full‑time internship (May 21 – August 9 2024) is based out of our corporate headquarters in Dallas, TX, with a hybrid work model that lets you split time between remote work and on‑site collaboration. As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst intern, you will support the Quality Control Standards & Guidelines team by turning raw data into actionable insights that drive safety, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness across arenaflex’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Validation: Gather, cleanse, and verify large datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Root‑Cause Analysis: Conduct exploratory analyses to identify patterns, anomalies, and underlying drivers of performance gaps.
- Reporting & Visualization: Transform complex findings into clear, compelling visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx, and communicate results to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Process Auditing: Perform audits of existing quality control processes, flagging inconsistencies and recommending improvements that align with arenaflex’s low‑cost, high‑reliability goals.
- Collaborative Problem‑Solving: Partner with senior analysts and cross‑functional leaders to address ad‑hoc maintenance issues, providing data‑driven recommendations for swift decision‑making.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create concise documentation of methodologies, data pipelines, and analytical frameworks to support ongoing initiatives.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry best practices, emerging analytics tools, and aviation regulatory standards, applying new knowledge to enhance project outcomes.

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (or anticipated graduation by December 2024).
- Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and data integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (advanced functions, PivotTables, VLOOKUP/MATCH).
- Basic familiarity with data visualization or ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
