Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Capstan Tax Strategies is looking for a talented R&D Tax Project Manager to join their collaborative team. This role involves managing clients' R&D tax credit initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, and collaborating with various professionals to analyze technical data and create client value.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate mastery of the R&D study process from start to finish
- Independently manage client files within scope and budget while overseeing file progress for managers
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, lawyers, CPAs, and MBAs to analyze technical data and create client value
- Analyze confidential financial and technical data for tax credit qualification
- Ensure projects are delivered on time using strong project management skills
- Draft and review comprehensive technical reports and deliverables to support tax credit claims
- Leverage expertise in R&D tax credits to guide both clients and team members in best practices
- Assist with department initiatives focused on operational efficiency and knowledge sharing
Skills
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in R&D Tax Credit and tax incentives within a professional services firm
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, accounting, economics, or a science/engineering related field
- Proven expertise in R&D tax credit qualification and client interaction
- Strong research abilities with comprehensive knowledge of tax law, regulations, and industry updates
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Experience with Excel, preferably advanced
- Advanced degree (MBA, JD, LLM) is highly preferred
