KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team on a long-term contract. This role will be responsible for the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and vendors are paid on time while supporting month-end close and audit activities.
Responsibilities
- Process and code vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (ACH, wire transfers, and other payment methods)
- Maintain vendor relationships and resolve invoice/payment inquiries
- Assist with month-end close, AP reconciliations, and general ledger support
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable tax requirements, including VAT and sales/use tax
- Prepare AP reports and provide support for internal and external audits
- Participate in special projects and other accounting duties as needed
Skills
- 4+ years of accounts payable experience
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP required
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative, detail-oriented approach
- Candidates with NetSuite experience are strongly preferred
- Experience in multi-entity environments; European operations and VAT reporting experience is a plus
- Life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
