The Senior Applications Developer will utilize strong development and architecture experience to design, develop, and monitor customer-facing middleware services, leading integration solutions and mentoring team members in operational support activities.
Responsibilities
- Utilize strong development and architecture experience to design, develop, and monitor customer-facing middleware services for VS & Co
- Design and develop new services using API Led Architecture Paradigm
- Monitor and support changes that exist in middleware services infrastructure
- Lead work focused on the design, development, and production support of integration solution utilizing middleware technologies such as MuleSoft, Talend, and Cleo on various enterprise-wide projects
- Serve as the overall Technical Lead on multiple projects or large-scale programs
- Lead project segments, including cutover planning, TUT, integration, or other test phases with a technical focus
- Serve as the overall lead for projects or programs representing integration work
- Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise in multiple applications or technical disciplines
- Knowledgeable in the technology supporting multiple business functions or supporting technologies
- Consult on a variety of existing and emerging integration technologies and associated services and processes
- Mentor and train team members in operational support activities, including on-call support
- Drive identification and resolution of issues leveraging technical expertise and product knowledge
- Research or triage new, uncommon, or complex, problems spanning multiple systems or applications
- Utilize knowledge of application architecture, industry trends, or best practices to recommend process or technology changes for the applications in the group's portfolio
- Research potential changes, analyze options, and implement selected items
- Audit results for efficiency, improved quality, or speed
- Facilitate explorations with the business teams
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study
- 5 years of experience, including 5 years of hands-on API development experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform Studio, API Manager, Run Time Manager, and API Exchange
- 5 years of development experience using Talend Data Fabric Tools, including Talend Data Integration, Talend ESB, TMC, and TAC
- 5 years of experience building API's using Talend API Designer and ETL jobs using Talend Data Integration
- 5 years of experience with Integration Patterns and REST based web services
- 5 years of demonstrated experience using integration patterns integrating SAP, Salesforce, Kronos, and MuleSoft
- 5 years of experience documenting API developments, including design patterns used, use cases, and performance of service
- 5 years of Middleware experience, including product installation, services deployment, health monitoring, automation of administration tasks in a Linux environment
