They are seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to support the Certification team's efforts in developing, maintaining, and testing performance-based exams and related systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain performance-based certification exams
- Build scripts and tools for provisioning, automation, and grading
- Contribute to frameworks and workflows that streamline exam development
- QA exam content and troubleshoot issues
- Draft and maintain documentation related to certification exam software, frameworks, and processes
- Collaborate with team members, contributors, and subject matter experts across global time zones
- Provide technical support for exam operations, delivery, and customer success as needed
Skills
- 2–4 years of professional software engineering or DevOps experience
- Proficiency with Linux, Git, Python, and Bash
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments
- Experience with online training platforms, certification delivery systems, or learning management systems (e.g., Instruqt, Skilljar, Katacoda)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated in a remote environment
- Certifications such as KCNA, CKA, or CKAD
- Contributions to open source projects
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code or major cloud platforms
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, or PHP)
- Multi-lingual communication skills
