They are seeking a Senior IT Application Solution Architect with a focus on Network Engineering and Radio Frequency experience to work on multiple IT projects and support business strategy through effective architecture development and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Works on multiple IT projects as a member of a project team and effectively supports Business Strategy
- Assist in facilitating the development of the future-state architecture, ensuring its effective adoption
- Interface across all business areas, acting as visionaries to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects
- Conceive strategies, solutions, build consensus, and sell/execute solutions
- Involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design, and implementation
- Ensure networks are built with best practices, reusability, and an understanding of how to use technology to best meet business needs
- Demonstrate the ability to think and operate on both the strategic and tactical levels
- Serve as a Change Agent who effectively challenges the status quo and helps the team embrace improved methods and newer technologies
- Responsible for meeting and presenting to the internal teams to gain approval and advice from all areas of Network Infrastructure Services to ensure sustainable networks are created
- Deliverables: 15%, 30%, 60%, 90%, 100% design feedback for construction projects; Build of Materials (BOM) for CapEx projects; Network Topologies; Site Wi-Fi/Cellular heatmaps; Statement of Works
Skills
- Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
- Requires five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in multiple IT areas and five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant technology network operations experience
- Intermediate-level hands on routing and switching architecture and engineering capabilities in enterprise network architecture
- Well-grounded in state-of-the-art principles of architectural modeling, service-oriented architecture, enterprise information management and software design and development
- Network solutioning (switches, WAPs, etc.) for two or more large-scale, heterogeneous IT programs
- Demonstrated success at developing solutions that solve business problems
- Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of an SOA and Services in an enterprise setting
- Transportation Industry experience
- Broad IT experience in networking technologies
- Demonstrated knowledge of an EA frameworks
