Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Qcells North America is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join their Grid & Energy Services team. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of systems in production environments, with responsibilities including system performance monitoring and incident resolution.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure and services for production systems
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability using observability and alerting tools
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive incident resolution
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and system automation
- Collaborate with software, QA, and platform teams to improve system reliability and performance
- Implement and support SRE best practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and incident response processes
- Contribute to automation and AI-driven operational workflows where applicable
Skills
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, SRE, DevOps, or a related technical field
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in production environments
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment workflows
- Travel may be required up to 10% depending on business needs
- Experience in energy, utilities, or renewable systems (solar preferred)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven monitoring or operational tooling
