They are seeking a Substation Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team in delivering substation physical designs while managing project resources and client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a talented and multi-disciplinary team delivering substation physical designs for utilities and EPC partners
- Provide strategic oversight for project resources, budgets, and client relationships
- Guide engineers through complex transmission and distribution projects
- Manage resources , performance, and development for a growing national substation group
- Review and approve design packages , drawings, and specifications for technical excellence
- Partner with leadership on business development and recruiting initiatives
- Champion a culture of learning , innovation, collaboration, and inclusion across the team
Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's in electrical engineering
- An active PE license
- 15+ years of experience in physical substation design
- 4+ years in leadership
- Deep understanding of high-voltage substation design
- General arrangements
- Grounding plans

- Advanced knowledge of utility industry standards
